Employees and reporting managers have access to the UZIO Time Off module through the UZIO web portal as well as the UZIO mobile app. You can request, cancel, and view your time off balance and requests in your UZIO employee account. If you do not see the Time Off section on the home page or do not have the option to request time off, please contact your company admin to see if this is a feature they offer through UZIO.
How to Request Time Off
From the home page, employees can request time off. If your company has multiple time off policies assigned, you can see the balance for each of them upfront.

Once you click on the Request Time Off button, the following page will open, which allows you to enter your time off details and submit it for approval.
- From/To: This allows you to enter From to To Dates for your time off. You can select single or multiple days as per your needs.
- Time Off Type: You can select the time off type available in your company like sick, vacation, etc.
- Amount (Total Available): This section displays the total amount available while requesting the time off.
- Total Requested Amount: This displays the total amount of time off being requested through your request.
- Comment(s): Allows you to enter comments that you want to record with a time off request. It will be visible to the approver as well.
- Send for Approval: Once you hit the Send for Approval button, your time off request will be sent for approval.
The request for a full or partial day off can be submitted by choosing the date range and type of time off. Your reporting manager or company admin will be notified by email that you have requested time off. Once your time off request is approved or denied, you will receive an email notification.
Alternatively, you can also request time off from another section of the portal. Just go to my information and click on the Time Off tab. On this page, you can see additional information about your time off history and upcoming time off.

How to Cancel Time Off Request
You can cancel your time off request from the Time Off tab on the My Info page by clicking the Cancel action.The approver will receive an email notification and the time off balance will be adjusted.
At Time Off page you will see two sections:
- Upcoming Time Off – You can view the upcoming requests you have planned with their respective status (Requested, Approved, or Denied).
- Time Off History - You can view the history of your time off up to today.

How to Check Time Off Balance
You can check your time off balance either from the Time Off tile on the home page or from the Time Off tab on the My Info page. You will see all the time policies your employer has assigned to you, such as sick leave, vacations, etc., with your accrued time off balance.

How to Check Time Off History
You can view your time off history at any time, including details about when a time off request was made and when the time off balance has been accrued. It can be accessed from the Home Page Time Off tile and Time Off tab on the My Info page.
Various statuses that you may see in your Upcoming and Time off history section:
- Requested: Your time off request awaiting approval.
- Approved: Your time off request that has been approved.
- Denied: Your time off request that has been denied.
- Cancelled: Your time off request that has been canceled or withdrawn.
- Accrued: Time off balance that has been accrued to your account as per the time off policy accrual schedule.
- Carry Over Loss: Time off loss that has occurred on reset from one calendar year to the next as per policy configurations done by your administrator. For example, if you have 12 days off balance and the maximum carry over limit is 10 days, then for the next policy period only 10 days will be carried over and 2 days will be counted as carry over loss.
- Adjustment: Any manual adjustment done by the company administrator.

How to Check the Holiday Calendar
The holiday calendar can be viewed either by visiting the Time Off tile on the home page or by visiting the Time Off tab on the My Info page.
Clicking on the Holiday Calendar button will show you all the holidays that have been set up at your company’s level and are available to you.

How I Can Review My Team’s Time Off
When an employee submits a time off request, you will be notified by email that an employee has requested time off. The email sent to you will have the buttons to approve and deny. If you are already logged in then clicking the button will perform the action, otherwise, the system will take you to the login page to access the portal, and then the action will be performed as per the choice you have clicked. Alternatively, here is how to review requests:
You can visit the My Team page from the main menu. Click on the Time Off tab that has a Pending and Completed section.
Pending: The pending tab displays all the time off requests raised by your direct reports and awaiting your acknowledgment (Approve/Deny). When you access the request, you will also be able to see who else is out to see if anyone else is already on planned leave during that period so that you can plan accordingly.
Completed: The completed tab displays all the time off requests of your direct reports regardless of the status.
