Please review the release notes below for insight into some of the enhancements that have been brought onto the Uzio portal on June 17, 2019. Select the titles below to learn more about the specific features:
Benefits Administration Enhancements
New Report: “Benefit Change Report”
A new Benefit Change Report has been introduced to the reporting module as an enhanced version of the Employee Information Change report.
This report will identify the employees who have had their initial benefits enrollment, termination of benefits or enrollment changes submitted manually or by the system within the selected date range after the package is approved.
This new report will highlight the cells for all census and benefit changes compared to the last enrollment record on file, including calling out enrollment additions, changes, and drops. In each highlighted cell itself, you will be able to see the previous data as well as what the data was changed to as a result of the updates.
This report will be useful to brokers and employers that are manually submitting enrollment changes to different carrier portals and make it easier to identify specific changes that may have occurred over a period of time. This report can be scheduled on whatever frequency in which you want to check the portal and be kept abreast of any changes you may need to make as a result.
Employer-specific Benefits Enrollment Windows for New Hires
Moving forward, there will be a new option available on the Settings page for both the broker and employer to define the duration of the new hire benefit enrollment opportunity. Previously, the window was typically 30 days.
Once this has been defined, any new hire who is added outside of an open enrollment period will be given an enrollment window based on the defined number of days from their date of hire.
New Hire Welcome Email
Moving forward, when you are adding a new employee to the Uzio application, the Broker or Employer will be prompted to customize and send a Welcome email to the new hire.
This email notification will introduce the Uzio application to the employee, as well as provide them the ability to register or log in to the portal. Premium subscribers can update the default content of this email using the Communication Module.
When adding a new hire, you will have the option to skip sending the welcome email, however, the system will still send a notification regarding Employee Benefits when an enrollment window is available to them.
Organization Chart Enhancements
The Employer Admin will have the ability to navigate to the Org Chart from an employee record.
Additionally, the Broker and the Employer Admin will also have the ability to hide the Org Chart from their employee’s portal access if required via the Settings page. By default, the Org Chart will be visible for each employer, but this can be changed on a per-employer basis.
Premium HR Functionality Enhancements
Hire and Onboarding - New Features
Based on feedback from our broker and employer partners, our Hire and Onboarding feature has been upgraded to contain additional features and improved usability, as mentioned below:
- The employer will now be able to assign custom documents while rolling out an offer to the prospects. This will allow the employer to get other onboarding documents signed by employees before their first day of work, such as a direct deposit form or a non-compete clause.
- The employer will be able to customize any hiring document template specific to each prospect at the time of rolling out the offer. You can make prospect-specific changes to the template by clicking the “Actions” button and selecting edit. This will allow you to edit an offer-related template with changes that are specific to that prospect without overwriting changes for the overall template.
- The employer will be able to provide the prospect’s address when adding them to the platform. This address can also be used as a Smart Field while configuring any hiring document.
- The user experience of the employee while they review the online job offer has been enhanced to split the collection of personal details and the acceptance/rejection of the job offer on different screens.
Time Off Balance Report Enhancements
Moving forward, the Employer Administrator will be able to provide a future end date when downloading a report. If entered, this date will be used to consider any future approved and unapproved time off for calculating the PTO.
